The Katey Team

So who is Katey?

Katey started as an idea — shaped by experience and guided by empathy.

Like many others, we found ourselves asking:

“Wouldn’t it be great if you could just talk to someone who truly understands aged care in Australia? Someone with up-to-date knowledge, a calm presence, and no agenda other than helping you?”

But that someone didn’t seem to exist.

There was no single organisation to turn to, no one number to call, and no expert with a clear, unbiased view focused solely on what’s right for you.

While the My Aged Care website offers plenty of information, it can be hard to know what’s current — and often, we struggled to find the answers we actually needed. And although many providers offer excellent services, their guidance is naturally shaped by what they offer.

So we thought:

“If we can’t find that person… could we create them?”

The short answer was yes.

With a lot of hard work leveraging the power of emerging AI, we have are developing and training Katey, an AI assisted online chat to have deep knowledge of aged care services in Australia.
